Katherine Heigl speaks with the world regarding her "white bubble childhood" and how it's influenced how she raises the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. The "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in a recent interview -- when it came to the color of her skin, it didn't matter to her what she wore when she was younger, but once she talked with her older sister who was taken in to South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed the two of them. I wanted to know Meg whether, while out with her parents, she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she received a different kind of treatment. Meg responded "Oh I do, each and every time!" Heigl revealed to Parents that it made her realize just the extent of her ignorance. The actress said that she was frustrated, but decided to channel her anger in order to assist her adopted daughters. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
