Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. One of her first Broadway shows include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The actress was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in the Play for playing Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh has worked on projects with award-winning directors, actors and producers throughout her career. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail in Robert Siegel's Hulu-exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford is currently working on the film of Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust which also features Sarah Paulson. It's also available on Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford is set to appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton is the director of the show. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal that was involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. Ashford was the main character in two seasons of CBS Comedy B Positive. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the legendary Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role in the role of Essie. Additional Broadway performances for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren In Kinky Boots. For this performance, she was awarded a Tony Award nomination. Ashford is from the city of Denver native who now divides her time between Los Angeles.
