Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th of August in 1976. Audrey is the oldest child in a family of four. Since a young age, her dental doctor parents as well as her teacher mom supported her love of theater and drama. It was this love which trumped her original desire to be an animal scientist. When she was a teenager the rise to fame was quick and accompanied by the beginning of her successes. Before she began to pursue her acting career, she participated in Jeunes Premiers a French show on TV that focuses on talent that was sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the Best Young Actress in during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Though she was a student at The Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou has distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated that she is not officially Catholic. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou were intertwined. Her image was the mainstay for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival, she displayed an array of photos under the heading Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities and fame. It also features a series self-portraits and a focus on journalists that have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was recognized internationally for its box office success. It also received praise in award ceremonies all over the world. It's also the biggest French language film to ever be released in the US. The popularity of the film has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, including British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
