Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics teacher who was later Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. She first competed at the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In her 1972 first international event in an preolympics junior event for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. When she made her debut as a Senior in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champion, winning four golds and a silver. She was the first woman to complete the reverse double salo of the bar with a parallel surface after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business performing as figure skater. Together with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business in her teens. She started her career as a model skater with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.
