Felicity Jones was born and raised in the UK and is best known as the actress who played Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones has been in films, plays and TV from the age of 12. She began by appearing in The Treasure Seekers, a TV film. Then she played Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch as well as The follow-up Weirdsister college. The character she played was Young Ruth as her debut film Flashbacks of a Fool. Then, she appeared in various films. In movies like The Invisible Woman or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Amazing Spider-Man 2, she gained acclaim for her acting. However it was her role in The Theory of Everything' which earned her the Oscar award for the first time. Jones was praised by the public and critics because she played the character of Hawking's wife as she appeared in the Stephen Hawking biopic. She was then seen in Inferno an action film starring Tom Hanks. Jones won the British Artist of year award in 2016 from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles. The award was given for her extraordinary talents and her contribution to the film.
